About Me
& My Approach
Hi I’m Martin. After many years in the corporate world, I decided to retrain to become a counsellor and psychotherapist after witnessing how talking therapy helped members of my family through a very difficult time.
I am an integrative therapist who utilises a range of evidence-based theories to help you understand yourself and your situation better. I am non-judgemental and hope that the relationship we form will allow you to feel safe and listened to during our work together. I work in a relaxed, conversational way allowing you to explore your own thoughts and feelings. I won't advise you or tell you what to do – but rather encourage and support you to discover your true self.
I specialise in working with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship and family difficulties, gender and sexuality issues and offer therapy to both individuals and couples.
I work both online (using Zoom) and from therapy rooms in
Chiswick (close to Chiswick Park tube station) and
Earl's Court (close to Earl's Court tube station).
I receive monthly supervision from a qualified supervisor
and am also a member of a peer supervision group
– both of which ensure that I practice ethically and safely.
To see if we’re the right therapy match, I offer a free 20-minute online consultation before therapy begins. If we decide we want to work together, I will send you a ‘therapy contract’ outlining our therapy sessions which ensures that we are both safe and respected during our therapy work.
